Winston is a Ph.D. student in the Molecular and Systems Pharmacology Program at Emory University. As a Doctoral Student and Laboratory Coordinator in the Yoon Laboratory, Winston’s research revolves around the development of stem cell therapeutics specifically tailored for patients recovering from myocardial infarction and heart failure. His work is the pioneering exploration of gene therapy for cardiac tissue regeneration through direct cardiac reprogramming. This approach can provide a targeted and minimally invasive therapy for cardiac fibrosis.
As an engaged member of the Emory Graduate Student Government Association, Winston is serving as the Vice President of Community Engagement, fostering connections and building a strong sense of community among graduate students. He has a deep passion for the arts. He finds joy and creative expression through mediums such as painting, drawing, and photography. In his leisure time, he also enjoy badminton, kayaking, and skiing.
