B.S. Anthropology and Human Biology | Latin American and Caribbean Studies Minor
Padraig Pantoja (’26C) is an Anthropology & Human Biology major with a minor in Latin American & Caribbean Studies. From a young age, his passion for healthcare was ignited by personal experiences that revealed its profound impact on individuals and communities. As a diligent learner, his studies have drawn him to Emory University for its innovative approach to patient care and research. In the Yoon Cardiovascular Lab, he works under the guidance of Dr. Kyung Hee Kim and deeply thanks her for her continued mentorship.
Overall, as he pursues a healthcare career, his goal is to specialize in cardiology with a particular focus on addressing cardiovascular health disparities among underserved populations. After receiving a degree in medicine, he plans to return to Perú and implement measures for transformative healthcare reform. He believes that with dedication, knowledge, and empathy, he can leave a lasting impact on others.
