Sun Moon is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. His research interests spans cardiovascular engineering, AI, bioinformatics, and molecular biology. At JHU, he developed a computational pipeline to estimate pressure-volume loop parameters from right heart cathterization waveforms to improve diagnosis for heart failure patients. Additionally, he conducted research at SCVI where he explored the cardiotoxic effects of opioids using hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes. He’s now excited to bring this experience to the Yoon Lab to explore regenerative therapies through direct reprogramming.

In his free time, Sun enjoys playing tennis, going for a lift, and trying to learn a new recipe.
